Fully-Chambered 8-String Lap-Steel Guitar

Scraping the Maple fret lines flat to the fingerboard.
Final gluing of the fingerboard to the neck.
The neck is looking good. There's still more to do.
Test-fitting.
The edge of the fingerboard has been routed for adding binding.
The binding is glued to the neck. The tape holds the binding tight to the fingerboard very well.
The pickup hole is routed and control holes drilled and countersunk.
Drilling and cleaning holes for fingerboard dots.
The Mother-Of-Pearl fingerboard dots are glued in.
Tuner holes are drilled and countersunk.
The tuners are installed.
The body still needs some filling and sanding.
Finalizing the neck-to-body profile.
Coating the body with Tru-Oil (Gunstock Oil).
Tru-Oil brings out the natural grain and color of wood.
The trick to using Tru-Oil is to add many layers with light sanding in between coats.
SHINY!
Tru-Oil finish is dry and the components are installed.
This Lap-Steel looks cool!!!
Fully Chambered 8-String Lap-Steel Guitar
